Chamaelobivia 'Unikum'

This chamaecereus silvestrii hybrid usually blooms yellow, but occasionally puts out an orange flower. This is the first time it has put out a flower that's half yellow, half orange.

Very interesting. I've never seen this happen before! You have some cacti that are not available here in Arizona. Where are you located? I'd love to find some of the ones you've featured.

I checked your profile--now I know where you are. Next time I go to Santa Cruz, I may look for some of the cactus species you've shown.

Some of it I grow from seed (from Arizona :) and the rest are found in various garden centers like Home Depot/OSH.

Cacti like this one offset rapidly and can be traded.
